Are you looking for information about NARS or the Nurses Assigned in Rural Areas program of Philippine President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo? Then here it is.

The Philippine government now has an employment program to help the high number of unemployed nurses in the country. President GMA announced the NARS: Nurses Assigned in Rural Areas Program during her speech at the Multi-Sectoral Jobs Summit at the Heroes Hall in MalacaƱang.

President Arroyo says that the nurses shall serve as roving nurses for rural schools in addition to their assignments to medical clinics in baranggays in the provinces and rural areas.

This program is open to all qualified nurses specifically fresh nursing graduates who just recently passed the Philippine nursing board exams. This will help them gain the experience need to find nursing jobs abroad.

Nurses accepted in the program will earn P8,000 plus P2,000 stipend which will be shouldered by the national government and the local governments respectively.

pwede pa ba maapply para sa second batch. I’ll just passed the Nursing Licensure exam last June 2009. I am really interested in the program and I need a experience. It’s really hard to apply since I haven’t any experience yet.
